It’s that time of year when the kids head back to school.
We are accustomed to making exhaustive lists of school supplies and clothing. Sometimes we have lists of additional items the teacher’s or schools need to keep them stocked with necessities.
As an alternative to buying all the items before the first day of school, consider waiting 2 weeks for anything non-essential. Of course, the kiddos need pens, paper, books and a probably a working computer, but hold out on the other items.
Two weeks after the first day of school, clothing goes on sale and the malls are much less crowded. Furthermore, the kids will have a chance to figure out what they really do want their fashion statement to be for the year.
Give it a try. Please share any other back to school shopping/savings tips you have.
